Education

Randolph County schools nurture and prepare our students to be successful adults whatever their area of interest or career path. Our philosophy of education means smaller class sizes and more attention to individual talents. There are more than half a dozen private schools in Randolph County, including Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School.

Southwestern Illinois College’s Red Bud Campus helps our students with a jump start on their college career right here in the community. They can even start college while still in high school and receive dual credits!

High school students can apply for the Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) Class. CEO teaches students how to start and sustain their own business. From preschool to post secondary, public or private, Randolph County’s schools enhance the wealth of our students … and our community.

A message from Kelton Davis, Regional Superintendent of Schools

The Regional Office of Education is committed to providing ongoing leadership and support for our schools as they work to implement the new College and Career Readiness Standards known as Common Core. Simultaneous with that system-wide change, our schools have implemented new Principal Performance Evaluations and are working on new evaluations of teachers that include performance growth based on Danielson’s Framework for Teaching and student growth measures.
